Job DutiesHere at Geisinger, our Musculoskeletal team has an exceptional opportunity for a BC/BE non-surgical podiatrist to join our team at our new Geisinger Medical Center Muncy Healthplex location in Pennsylvania. Position information: - Collaborate with Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeons, Podiatrists, Primary Care Sports Medicine and Surgical Sports Medicine physicians on patients needing surgical and non-surgical interventions
- Perform minor office procedures for infected ingrown and fungal toenails, calluses, plantar warts, skin lesions and joint pain, as well as foundational Biomechanical Foot and Ankle knowledge in the ordering and application of CMO; Custom Made Orthotics and AFO; Ankle Foot Orthosis Biomechanics for the foot and ankle is desired
- Treat all aspects of lower extremity wound care including diabetic foot ulcerations, venous stasis wounds and ischemic ulcerations. Knowledge of off-loading and compression techniques as well as ability to perform and order non-invasive Vascular studies is expected
- Partner with other members of the Musculoskeletal Institute working at nearby Geisinger Medical Center, an Academic and Level 1 Trauma Center
