The Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center (RHJVAMC) is recruiting for one (1) Physician to serve in the Primary Care Care Service Line at the Myrtle Beach Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. ***THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS OPEN UNTIL THE VACANCY IS FILLED. IT MAY BE EXTENDED OR CLOSED PRIOR TO THE CURRENT CLOSING DATE. 1ST CUTOFF DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS IS January 29, 2021. AFTER THAT DATE, APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED WEEKLY UNTIL POSITION IS FILLED. The Primary Care Physician provider position offers a Monday-Friday outpatient clinic setting with the option of work assignment for extended clinic hours and/or weekend clinics according to VHA Directive 2013-001. The Physician will function as the leader of his/her Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT). The successful candidate will have a high level of medical knowledge and possesses all the qualities for providing comprehensive and compassionate care for "those who served". The position calls for excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and offers input into projects pertaining to the development of the clinic. Will provide comprehensive primary care services to a defined panel of patients. Duties include history taking, physical examination, ordering laboratories and diagnostic studies, diagnosis and formulation of treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions within the scope of Medicine practice. Work Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday with the option to work assignment for extended clinic hours and/or weekend clinics according to VHA Directive 2013-001. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program. If selected for this position, you must meet specific individual eligibility requirement, and submit your application within four months of appointment. The final award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services Office.
