The Stamford Health System is independent and not-for-profit. It consists of one hospital and one out-patient center. There are opportunities for teaching with 4 residency programs and rotating medical students from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons (P&S). In addition, research is being done through the Bennett Cancer Center with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, plus more with the support of our own Office of Research. Stamford Health Medical Group is the multi-specialty network of employed physicians tied to the Stamford Health System. The Medical Group has numerous out-patient offices for both primary and specialty care throughout lower Fairfield County. The Urology practice is located on the main campus in Stamford in the Medical Office Building (MOB) which is attached to Stamford Hospital. Both brand-new buildings, the MOB and Hospital opened in late 2016.
