As the Department of Pediatrics at Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital continues to grow, we are looking for a board certified/board eligible, full-time Child Neurologist to join our collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
Our collaborative group consists of nine Pediatric Neurologists and three Physician Assistants. This position is primarily outpatient with some inpatient and 1-2 days a month of outreach. This is a Monday through Friday position, with 6-8 weeks of call per year. Collaborative duties with an Advanced Practitioner who will help with most of the return visits and assist with patient care calls make this position stand out.
The Department of Pediatrics provides the full range of inpatient medical and surgical subspecialty services, including pediatric hospitalists, critical care, nephrology, gastroenterology, cardiology, genetics, infectious disease and the full spectrum of pediatric surgical subspecialties. We have active outpatient services including outreach clinics in general and subspecialty pediatrics. Geisinger JWCH also offers a unique research setting with opportunity for clinical innovation and research. Research time is supported by interested candidates. Research at Geisinger is highly collaborative, with broad research opportunities for exploring the genetic architecture of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and neurodevelopmental/psychiatric disorders, as well as pharmacogenomic traits and rare genetic disorders, among others.
