Dermatologist Position Available for Cutaneous Oncology Program Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, in partnership with the University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC), is seeking a Board-certified/Board-eligible Dermatologist experienced in the management of patients with skin cancer, pigmented lesions, melanoma and high-risk skin cancer patients. The University of Arizona Cancer Center at Dignity Health St. Joseph's recently moved into a new 220,000-square-foot outpatient cancer center on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus in the heart of downtown Phoenix, Arizona. St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is the location of the Oncology Inpatient Unit and is approximately 2 miles away. SJHMC is a 571+ bed, not-for-profit hospital that is consistently recognized as an outstanding place to work and one of Arizona's healthiest employers. The University of Arizona Cancer Center has been designated by the National Cancer Institute as an NCI- Comprehensive Cancer Center, the NCI's highest designation. This designation is reserved for centers focusing on patient care as well as research, prevention, education, outreach and training. The dermatologist will be employed by the Dignity Health Medical Group and report to the Dermatology, Mohs Surgery and Melanoma Section Leader. The dermatologist will participate in the development of a cutaneous oncology program for our growing NCI-designated comprehensive cancer program. Responsibilities include working with the Section Leader to build and cultivate professional community relationships, ensure the growth of the clinical patient care program and the implementation of a clinical trial research program. The candidate should have a strong interest in cancer prevention or treatment research and be prepared to participate in the establishment of a clinical trials program under the direction of the Section Leader and in collaboration with the UA Deputy Director, the VP, Oncology Services Dignity Health AZ and the UA Director for Research Administration.
