Peace Island Medical Center (PIMC) located in Friday Harbor, Washington is a 10-bed critical access hospital which includes new, expanded primary care and specialty clinics, expanded diagnostic and treatment services, an infusion center, an operating suite for outpatient procedures and a 24-hour emergency department.
Join 2 full-time, 4 part-time, and a pool of relief emergency physicians, as well as 5 primary care providers
Census of 3,000+ patients
Admissions from the ED are managed by the hospitalist 24/7
Staffing includes 1-2 ED RN's, 1 inpatient nurse, 2 medical assistants. We also have access to paramedics and critical care flight nurses 24/7 if needed.
STAT lab in the ED
Teaching affiliation with the University of Washington division of Emergency Medicine and there is the possibility of a UW teaching appointment through our rural EM residency program.
Recipient of the American Institute Architecture 2013 National Healthcare Design Award.
